Words escape me when describing Petra Nemcova, the Czech sensation who is considered the breakout model from 2002 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. When gazing upon her it is easy to become lost in her beauty. This supermodel has not only graced the pages of fashion magazines, she also posed for US Weekly from her hospital bed after being caught in the December 2004 Asian tsunami disaster. Petra was found holding on to a tree for eight hours with a broken pelvis and internal injuries; unfortunately, boyfriend Simon Atlee (a British fashion photographer) was never found. We are all thankful that she survived this ordeal, but probably none more than Petra herself.
